What is The Living Things of Our Environment?

The living things, humans, animals and plants have the ability to adapt to their environment. The ability to adapt to the environment aims to maintain the sustainability of life in nature so that it does not become extinct. Humans, animals and plants can adapt well to different environmental conditions.

I. Adaptation of The Living Creatures to Their Environment.
The living things can adapt to their environment, for example the presence of trees that drop their leaves in the dry season, the body shape of fish to make it easier to move in the water, the arrangement of duck legs for swimming, the shape of the beaks of various birds according to their food and so on.

The living things animals or plants have a certain place, for example fish live in water, it is impossible to live on land. Plants in deserts are different from plants in cold regions.

The place where a living thing lives is called a habitat.
The living things in this world there are two groups of habitats, namely terrestrial habitats and aquatic habitats.

Every the living thing has to adapt to its environment. The process of adjusting to the environment is called adaptation.
The living things that have adapted are difficult to move in other environments.

II. The Living Things in Land Habitats.
The living things in the shape of the animal's mouth is different from one another. The shape of the animal's mouth depends on the type of food. Butterflies have a proboscis for sucking honey, mosquitoes have proboscis and sucker to draw blood from their prey.

The living things of the shape of the animal's feet also varies; The bird of prey's claws were large and strong, ready to pounce. Duck paws are soft because they are only used for walking, but their feet are webbed because they are used for swimming.

III. The Living Things in the Water Habitats.
The living things in the freshwater habitats and marine habitats are different. Sea fish cannot live in fresh water. On the other hand, freshwater fish also cannot live in the sea. The deeper it is, the darker it is in the sea, the stronger the pressure. Creatures that live near the surface of the ocean are different from those that live farther down. Fish breathe with gills to live in water. Whales, dolphins, dugongs and sea lions do not have gills. They are not fish, they are mammals. Once they emerge to breathe.
The living things of these mammals have fins like fish, so they can easily swim in water.

IV. The Living Things' Conclusion.
The living things can adapt to their environment. The place where a living thing lives is called a habitat.
Every living thing has to adapt to its environment. The process of adjusting to the environment is called adaptation. The shape of the mouth of an animal is different from one another, the shape of the mouth of the animal depends on the type of food. The mouth shape of biting and chewing animals, such as cockroaches, crickets and grasshoppers. Animals that have a piercing and sucking mouth shape, such as mosquitoes. Animals that have licking and sucking mouth shapes, such as butterflies and flies.

The living things of adaptation of plants that live in water (hydrophyte) has the following characteristics:
1. wide and thin leaves
2. short and sparse roots
3. The stem is hollow
For example rice, kale, and water hyacinth.

The living things of adaptation of plants that live in dry desert areas (xerophytes) have the following characteristics:
1. The roots are long and thick
2. The leaves are small, thorn-shaped, stiff and thick
3. the stems store a lot of water
For example cactus and aloe vera.

The living things of adaptation of plants that live in areas between dry and moist (tropophyte) has the following characteristics:
1. Abort some of the leaves during the dry season
2. The leaves experience drought as if they died during the dry season, and new leaf buds will grow after the rainy season
For example, teak, kapok, and mahogany.

The living things of insect-eating birds' beaks, vultures' beaks, prey birds' beaks and grain-eating birds' beaks are different.

The living things environment of this article may hopefully will add to our insight. and be useful. May be reference for the Science or Biology lesson about the living things environment.
