THE VEHICLE LISENCE PLATE NUMBER INDONESIA

What is The Vehicle Lisence Plate Number Indonesia?

The Vehicle Lisence Number Plate is a vehicle registration number based on series and region. Usually this vehicle plate has certain specifications. Starting from the color, the letter series in front is based on the provincial area, the serial number of police publications, and at the end the regional letter series for districts/cities along with the letter series of their publications.

The initial letter series usually consists of one or two letters. The serial number in the middle usually consists of 1 to 4 digits, and the last series of letters usually has two or maybe three if the use of vehicles in a district or city area exceeds the number of users.

In terms of color, usually if the vehicle plate is black it is private property. If it is yellow, it is a public vehicle owned by several people or a combination of a business in the transportation sector. Then, if it is red, it is usually owned by the state or a state-owned company (BUMN).

In terms of serial number, it usually determines the type of vehicle used. For example, serial numbers 1 - 1999 (passenger vehicles), 2000 - 6999 (motorcycles), 7000 - 7999 (bus vehicles), 8000 - 9999 (loaded vehicles/carriers).

In terms of letters according to the description above, it is based on the province, district/city area. However, there are special serial numbers for several country consulates and diplomats which are marked with the letters "CC" for the Consulate Corps and "CD" for the Diplomat Corps at the beginning of the vehicle plate letter series.
